Definition
Attributes in Land id™ are data fields where users input specific information or data points related to properties or features. Once information is entered into an attribute field, it can be used to label and visualize the data on the map.
For example, if you assign a "Year Sold" attribute to a set of properties, the system can automatically color-code and display those properties by their "Year Sold" attribute. This allows users to easily analyze and interpret data across multiple properties through visual differentiation on the map.
Additionally, attributes can be added to any point, line, or polygon, providing flexibility for mapping various features.

Key benefits
-
Data organization: Attributes enable you to create spatial databases like how you would organize data in a spreadsheet. This data can then be visually represented on the map through thematic labels or other visual elements based on your attributes.
-
Visualization: By adding attributes, you can use color-coding on the map to quickly understand and interpret data patterns, like grouping properties by "Year Sold."
-
Analysis: Attributes allow for data filtering and sorting, helping you identify trends, relationships or outliers across different properties.
-
Labeling: Automatically generate labels on the map based on attribute values, improving clarity and making it easier to reference specific data points at a glance.
-
Reporting: With attributes in place, you can export reports, enhancing your decision-making processes. *See Shapefile Export
-
Changing needs: As new data becomes available, attributes make it easy to update and adjust your maps to reflect the most current information.
Limitation: The attribute tool is only available in the desktop version of Land id™.
