Definition

Land id maps and folders can be copied to other Land id users' accounts, allowing your colleagues to have a copy of your work and make their own edits to the map.

All that is required is the recipient's account email (with an active Premium or Pro subscription), and the map or folder can be copied with a click of a button.

Copying maps or folders will leave the original copy in your account. To transfer ownership of the map out of your account, please see here: Transfer maps and folders to other users.

Key benefits

  • Multiple Versions:  Recipients can make changes to the map based on their own needs.
  • Map Collaboration:  Users can copy and transfer maps back and forth to collaborate on the mapping process.
  • Share Folders:  Send copies of several maps at once by sharing entire folders with one click.

Limitations

  • The recipient must have an active Land id Premium or Pro subscription to receive and make edits. Additionally, if a user is on a Premium or Pro plan, the copied map will count towards the recipient's three map limit.
  • Copied maps and folders diverge from the originals. Changes are saved separately, and edits from one account will not be seen on another account.
  • To share your map without allowing others have an editable copy in their account, it is best to share your map instead.
  • Team subscriptions have the ability to copy maps disabled by default. To enable it, please have the account administrator contact Land id Support.
